Isolate the flare header side of a pressure safety valve before you pull it for repair. The EZ Guillotine™ slips in with the PSV side bolts still in place, cutting open-pipe vapor exposure to seconds. A blind flange then bolts over it to hold the line.

Why PSVs Need Their Own Blind
Pulling a PSV opens the flare header side of the line. Even when header pressure is near zero, an open pipe can release enough vapor to ignite from a single spark. The longer it stays open, the greater the hydrocarbon or chemical release and the risk to your technicians.
The EZ Guillotine™ is designed specifically for PSV removal. It is cut just wide enough to slip in while the PSV side bolts stay in place, so the downstream side is sealed before the valve ever comes off.

How much pressure can it hold?
1–2 psi. It is meant for when flare header pressure is near zero. Once the PSV is out, bolt a blind flange over it to hold against intermittent pressure.
Does it replace a blind flange?
No. It seals the line during the swap. The blind flange goes on over it and carries the load.
Are gaskets included?
Not as standard, but we can supply them on request. A paper gasket affixed with adhesive on the flare header side works well. Single or multiple O-rings are also available.
