Snap It® Engineered Tube Plugs
Plug leaking tubes in heat exchangers, boilers, and condensers in under 60 seconds, rated up to 7,000 PSID. No welding, no hot work permits, and no downtime you didn't plan for.
Snap It® Jr. | Up to 1,000 PSID
Snap It® Sr. | Up to 7,000 PSID
Stop Welding. Start Snapping.
Tapered and welded tube plugs mean hot work permits, fire watches, inspection delays, and real risk to your tubesheet. Snap It® plugs install hydraulically, with no sparks and no waiting, for a controlled, repeatable seal.
Snap It® Jr. vs. Snap It® Sr.
Both install the same weld-free, hydraulic way. The right choice comes down to pressure and where the plug goes.

Snap It® Tube Plug FAQ
What's the difference between Snap It® Jr. and Snap It® Sr.?
Snap It® Jr. is rated to 1,000 PSID with three points of contact. It covers a wider range of tube IDs, suits most applications, and can plug near end or far end (through-the-tube). Snap It® Sr. is rated to 7,000 PSID with five points of contact for a stronger seal. It covers a narrower size range and is for near end, high-pressure applications only.
What pressure can Snap It® plugs hold?
Snap It® Jr. is rated to 1,000 PSID, with blowout pressures tested beyond 18,000 PSID. Snap It® Sr. is rated to 7,000 PSID, with blowout pressures tested beyond 28,000 PSID.
Can Snap It® plugs be used for far end (through-the-tube) plugging?
Yes, with Snap It® Jr. Snap It® Sr. is built for higher holding pressure, expands less than 0.020", and is used for near end applications only.
Do I need special tools to install them?
No proprietary equipment is required. If you already have hydraulic rams, pull rod assemblies, or extenders, they'll work with our plugs. If not, we offer complete installation kits, including the new cordless SureSnap Pro™, to rent or buy.
How long does installation take?
Once you've installed a few, expect under 60 seconds per plug to prep and install, with no welding, no permits, and up to 80% lower labor costs.
What materials are Snap It® plugs made in?
We regularly make Snap It® plugs in 20+ materials, including 304 and 316 stainless, carbon steel, brass, Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, titanium, zirconium, and 70/30 and 90/10 CuNi. All are milled in the USA.
Do you sell direct or through distributors?
We sell direct to end users, contractors, and suppliers. Every Snap It® plug is designed, engineered, made, tested, and packaged at our South Houston, Texas facility and shipped worldwide, so you get competitive pricing and shorter lead times than buying through a distributor.
