Wing Nut Plumber's Isolation Plug
A quick, easy seal for a pipe, tube, or round hole. Turn the wing nut and the rubber ring expands tightly against the inside of the pipe. Hand-tightening is enough for smaller sizes, with a wrench option for larger ones.
Low-pressure isolation and leak testing only.

Wing Nut Plug FAQ
Are they made for a specific pipe schedule?
No. They're made to size. For example, a 14" wing nut plug fits a 14" to 15" ID.
Do they have vent-through capabilities?
Yes. We can make your plug with vent-through.
What is the seal made of?
Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR).
How is the body constructed?
Cast steel.
Will the wing nut plug hold back pressure?
It's rated up to 10 psi, but we don't recommend it for more than a few pounds of back pressure. For more, see the GripSafe® ST plugs.
Why are they called plumber's plugs?
Plumbers use them to plug off water and sewer lines during repairs.
Are they used in refineries?
Some refineries allow them and others don't. We supply them, but if asked we recommend our heavy duty industrial isolation plugs, which are much more robust.
Are these available to rent?
Yes. We carry a large rental fleet, and we're just as happy to sell them.
